Design  Studio  Biography

"Continuous Refinement Through Art"

Perpetual Graphix is a graphic arts, non-profit, hobby company initially created and commissioned 1995 to provide artwork for the Martial Fusion clothing, jewelry, and equipment line.  At this time they are working exclusively on the Martial Fusion equipment line and the Golden Tempest Kenpo Studio graphics and their perspective websites.  However, in the past illustrations have been provided through Perpetual Graphix to other clients specifications.   And in the future the same function will be served for those who need the companies services.

The Perpetual Graphix symbol is a modified biological symbol with some of the same color schemes found in Kenpo Karate.  This is due to the fact that most of the graphic material and web page construction done by Perpetual Graphix is very involved in Kenpo Karate.  The martial arts in general are practices that the individuals who work within Perpetual Graphix firmly believe in, so the predominate work created by them are martial arts based.  The graphics created by Perpetual Graphix have been for websites, logos for studios, T-shirt graphics, and business cards before being employed by Martial Fusion (formerly Lightning Gear) and the Golden Tempest Kenpo Studio.  Both of which have been wonderful experiences, due to the fact that Perpetual Graphix was essentially given cart'e blanche to create whatever they had in mind.    All either organization gave the studio to work with were some brief suggestion of what they thought would be cool, and the rest was up to the folks at the design studio.  Here's an example of what we were given and what we came up with:

The Dragon is a symbol of mystical and spiritual strength, representing the true power of the Martial Arts.  The Dragon is red as a symbol of professorship in American Kenpo with it's spiritual energy or fire engulfing itself and being projected towards everything the Dragon wishes.  The Dragon's inner strength and insight is something all practitioner strive to find.

The Bengal Tiger is a symbol of earthly strength, representing the beginning stages of the Martial Arts and Kenpo training.  The Tiger's spiritual energy depicted as lightning to illustrate it's earthly spiritual energy which radiates everything it touches.  The action taken by this energy has a well dictated path of action, however never touching the same place twice.

A lot of hours are generally put into anything that comes out of the design studio, however they only work on projects that they truly believe in.  Thus, the reason for lower prices from Perpetual Graphix, since anything worth believing in should pay for itself.  That and the fact is, for right now the studio is only a hobby company for experience and for the fun of it.

The story of Perpetual Graphix is a very simple, and typical tale of the rock and the hard place.  Ironically, everyone in the Perpetual Graphix studio has essentially the same story.  It's really creepy, or silly, we can't decide.  All of the folks at Perpetual Graphix have been involved in the design and martial arts fields for a long time.  Some went to college, some just have natural talent and needed an outlet.  Where these stories came together is the fact that it is almost impossible to get a good, even neutral paying job in the design field.  This, of course, is without doing things on your own.  The design studio started like everything else, very small.  Just a few people getting together to create things they thought would be cool on their own.  Now, Perpetual Graphix has snowballed in a group operating multiple webpages, logos and designs for several studios and organizations, and working specifically with Martial Fusion and the Golden Tempest Kenpo Studio in almost every aspect.

As it has been stated many times throughout a couple of these biographies, if anyone out there likes what they see throughout these sites, feel free to contact the folks at Perpetual Graphix.  By no means are we stating that any of these graphics are free ware, or available for public use for free.  The people at Perpetual Graphix would be more than happy to help anyone looking to have any kind of graphic designs created for personal or business use.  Beyond that, feel free to leave a comment on what you think of the websites.  Praise or criticism, any comments would be appreciated.

Enjoy.
